They’ve made some really poor changes to the Spotify app

As well as some of the new visual tweaks that come along in software updates, the latest version of Spotify has hidden away several key features that have become essential to the average Spotify user.
Now, if you want to set a certain song or album to repeat, or even look at your play queue (upcoming songs), you’re forced to open a separate menu, whereas before they were clearly and easily accessible on the now-playing page.
But it’s OK though, because you can now share songs with friends on social media more easily.

To get an idea of what’s coming your way if you haven’t got the new update yet, here a few screenshots of the new layout.
As you can see the repeat and queue buttons are now tucked away in a separate menu. Bizarrely, they’ve been discarded in favour of the shuffle button, favourite button and a new share option.

@Spotify’s new update is sucking my soul, i love that the shuffle button is still in the front(waste of time) but the actual options that matter are now in a different menu.

I really love @Spotify.. I really do but.. this new UI change.. MEGA YIKES. I have to click twice to select the repeat playlist/repeat song button now? Why is the shuffle button prioritized over that? Who uses shuffle? Behind the lyrics is now UNDER the song.. I am confusion.

The mobile Spotify app used to closely resemble the PC version not too long ago. I bring this up because the PC version was and still is sheer perfection but the mobile app has continued to be subject to unnecessary and frustrating updates.
Why Spotify ever felt the need to implement this downgrade is beyond myself and many users alike. Hopefully, users' complaints will be heard and the changes to the beloved Spotify App can be reversed.
